Recall on V Energy Drink

Frucor Beverages is recalling 350ml bottles of V Energy Drink from one production run with best before dates of August 2 and 3, 2004 because of a possibility there may be glass in the product.

There is no report of injury however the product should not be consumed.

The recall is limited to the North Island, and does not include V cans or multipack bottles.

"We are working closely with the relevant authorities and have acted quickly to advise consumers of the recall and set up an 0800 line to deal with any consumer inquiries, " says Chief Executive Officer Carl Bergstrom.

Frucor Beverages is currently retrieving any product from stores and is advising anyone with the product being recalled to take it to any retailer stocking its brands for an immediate refund. South Island product is not affected by the recall.

The company immediately began a thorough investigation to identify the cause and will take every step necessary to prevent this happening again.
